The Seaway-Lussier Sportsman and Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series back in action this weekend!

Cornwall, Ont – Tuesday, July 8, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – Both the Seaway-Lussier GM Performance Sportsman and Mohawk Race Parts Pro-Stock Series are back in action this weekend at three different tracks. The Sportsman will travel to Quebec for a double header while the Pro-Stock will be at Mohawk International Raceway.

Autodrome Granby and Autodrome Drummond will host round two and three of the Seaway-Lussier GM Performance Sportsman Series as both events will be 50-lap races this Friday and Saturday. Defending series champion and initial winner at Brockville, Mathieu Desjardins will look to continue his success in the series. Last year Desjardins had swept both events paving the way for his title. Competition will be tough at both venues as local top runners such as Desjardins, Dany Gagné, Jonathan Desilets, Guy Ouellette, Kaven Poliquin, Martin Pelletier and several other will defend home turf against some of the best drivers from Eastern Ontario in Shane Pecore, Joey Ladouceur, Corey Wheeler, Mike Maresca and other open wheel talents.

The Pro-Stocks will visit Mohawk for the first time this season with the Mohawk Race Parts Series, Stephane Lemire won the initial event in Cornwall earlier in May. A good field of cars is expected including regular runners from Cornwall such as Stephane Lebrun, Dave Bissonnette, Jocelyn Roy, George Renaud, Eli Gilbert and will attract drivers from Autodrome Granby in Lemire, Bruno Cyr, Richard Bertrand and others. A field of 20 cars and more is expected for the 40-lap event.

A lot of action at each venue with good choices for fans on Friday with the Sportsman in Granby and Pro-Stock in Mohawk and on the following night the Sportsman continue their quest at Drummond. Be sure to support your local series and visit these great speedways!

Les séries Sportsman Seaway-Lussier et Pro-Stock Mohawk Race Parts en action ce weekend!

Cornwall, Ont – lundi 8 juillet, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – Les séries Sportsman Seaway-Lussier GM Performance et Pro-Stock Mohawk Race Parts seront de retour en action ce weekend à 3 pistes différentes. Les Sportsman convergeront vers le Québec pour 2 soirées alors que les pilotes Pro-Stock seront du côté du Mohawk International Raceway.

Les Autodrome Granby et Drummond seront les hôtes de la série Sportsman Seaway-Lussier GM Performance alors que les deux évènements seront des épreuves d’une distance de 50 tours et auront lieu ce vendredi et samedi. Le champion défendant et vainqueur de la manche initiale Mathieu Desjardins tentera de continuer ses succès dans la série lui qui avait balayé les 2 courses l’an dernier pavant la voie vers son titre. La compétition sera encore féroce alors qu’un bon groupe de pilotes locaux tels que Desjardins, Dany Gagné, Jonathan Desilets, Guy Ouellette, Kaven Poliquin, Martin Pelletier et plusieurs autres attendent les pilotes visiteurs de pieds ferme. Quelques uns des meilleurs coureurs de l’est de l’Ontario seront en piste en Shane Pecore, Joey Ladouceur, Corey Wheeler, Mike Maresca et autres talent de l’Est.

Les Pro-Stocks visiteront Mohawk pour la première fois de la saison avec la série Mohawk Race Parts, Stéphane Lemire fut le vainqueur de la première épreuve courue plus tôt au mois de mai du côté de Cornwall. Un excellent peloton regroupant des réguliers de Cornwall comme Stéphane Lebrun, Dave Bissonnette, Jocelyn Roy, George Renaud, Eli Gilbert et également de l’Autodrome Granby en Lemire, Bruno Cyr, Richard Bertrand, Alain Brochu et plusieurs autres est attendu alors que la vingtaine de voitures en piste est plus que réaliste.

Beaucoup d’action à prévoir avec beaucoup de choix le vendredi avec les Sportsmans à Granby et les Pro-Stock à Mohawk et le lendemain, l’action se transporte à Drummond pour les Sportsman. On vous invite à supporter les séries locales et visiter les pistes hôtes!

New additions on the calendar at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Monday, July 7, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – Several new things are added to the calendar in the upcoming weeks at Cornwall Motor Speedway ! Dash for Cash events, class additions and much more !

Next Sunday, the Bandit Motorsports Modified Dash for Cash will be run as the 6 fan favorite will have a chance to win some extra money. An extra incentives for the fans.

On July 20th, the Sportsman category will have their own Dash for Cash as West Front Construction will sponsor the event. On the same evening a magician will amuse the kids during intermission time.

On the same night as round 2 of the Canadian Nationals on August 3rd, the Sportsman were added to the schedule along with the Mod-Lite of Quebec. This class will also be in town this Sunday. On the first weekend of August, several drivers will be in Eastern Ontario to compete in TUSA events at Mohawk on Friday and Brockville on Saturday, a good field of cars will be expected for the Sunday event. With the addition of Sportsman and Mod-Lite, the Semi-Pro class was given the night off.

The Lavergne family is working hard to add new features to please race teams and fans, the latest one should spice up an already solid schedule with the World Of Outlaws Sprint Cars coming at the end of the month.
