Chris Raabe wins at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, June 7, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – It was nice and sunny at Cornwall Motor Speedway as Crysler Auto Centre presented a full show for Modified, Sportsman, Pro-Stock, Semi-Pro and the visit of the Mod-Lite Quebec.

In the Bandit Motorsports Modified feature event J-F Corriveau led the way over Brian Mcdonald and Lee Ladouceur. McDonald was able to pass Corriveau on lap 1 restart as he took a good lead with Chris Raabe making his way up to second place with David Papineau running in third. Raabe was the fastest car on the track as he made a good move on lap 12 and passed McDonald for the lead with Carey Terrance joining the mix moving up to second. Raabe led the final portion and won his first feature of the season over Terrance and David Papineau rounding out the top 3.

A strong field of 29 cars took the green in the Wheeler-Forget 20-lap Sportsman feature as Mike Stacey was the early leader. Caution came out on lap 2 for Joey Ladouceur. Stacey strong in front with Tristan Draper and Brianna Ladouceur running in the top 3 with 5 laps completed. Stacey got caught in heavy traffic and Draper took the lead on lap 11. Stacey charged back and took control of the feature in the last portion. Stacey and Draper got a last battle with Stacey winning his first feature in his career over Draper and Louie Jackson completed the podium.

CD Beauchamp dominated the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock 20-lap feature as he led from lap 1 and never looked back and captured his first feature of the season over Ghislain Valade and Rock Aubin.

In the 20-lap Mod-Lite Series, Merritville regular, Jeff May led the first 19 laps as he was surprised by Eric Desilets in the final lap, with Desilets winning the event over May and Richard Tessier completed the top 3.

In the 15-lap Polar Sound Semi-Pro feature, Adam Delormier took the early lead over Nico Leblanc and Mathieu Aubin. Delormier had a good run as Leblanc got closer in the final laps. Delormier was able to resists a few charges from Leblanc and got his second win in a row over Leblanc and Derek Cryderman completed the top 3.

The next four events will be busy at Cornwall Motor Speedway with the first event of the Super Series Starter with a 50-lap event along with a complete race program in all other divisions next Sunday, June 14th.

A busy month of June ahead at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Tuesday, June 2nd, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – With the month of May now in the books, we are able to nominate the first recipients of the Bandit Motorsports Performer of the Month that is given to the drivers that collect most points in the month.

Stephane Lafrance won the Modified division award collecting a 125$ bonus as Corey Wheeler in Sportsman and Ghislain Valade in the Pro-Stock each gaining 60$ each. Nico Leblanc in Semi-Pro and Marc Dagenais in the Mini-Stock won 40$. Dagenais collected the most points in total during May with 202 on a possibility of 210!

The points for the Bandit Motorsports Performer of the Month will now be reset to zero as we start June with the visit of the Mod-Lite Quebec along with a full program in the Modified, Sportsman, Pro-Stock and Semi-Pro, this Sunday, June 7th.

This coming Sunday is prelude to an upcoming big month of June as 3 consecutive big events highlighting the 6th month of the year as the first Super Series Starter event with a 50-lap Modified feature along with a Dash for Cash in that same category on June 14th. A contest for the fans to vote for their favourite driver to participate is currently active on our Facebook page.

The World of Outlaws Late Models will be making a return on June 21st as the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series will make their annual stop on the 28th to close out a big month.

Un mois de juin à ne pas manquer au Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – mardi 2 juin, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – Avec le mois de mai maintenant chose du passé, nous pouvons maintenant nommer les gagnants du pilote du mois Bandit Motorsports remis à celui qui amasse le plus de points dans le mois.

Stéphane Lafrance a remporté le prix de 125$ dans la division Modifié alors que Corey Wheeler en Sportsman et Ghislain Valade en Pro-Stock, ont chacun remporté 60$. Les points pour le pilote du mois Bandit Motorsports seront remis à zero alors que le mois de juin débute avec la visite de la série Mod-Lite Québec en plus d’un programme complet en Modifié, Sportsman, Pro-Stock et Semi-Pro, qui aura lieu ce dimanche 7 juin.

Ce dimanche qui vient est un avant-goût pour le reste de juin avec 3 gros programmes de suite avec la première épreuve de la série Super Starter avec une finale de 50 tours en Modifié en plus d’une cash-dash dans cette même catégorie le dimanche 14 juin. Un concours qui permet aux amateurs de choisir les pilotes qui participeront à ce dash est présentement actif sur la page Facebook.

Les World of Outlaws Late Models effectueront un retour à Cornwall le dimanche 21 juin alors que la série Gros-Blocs Super DIRTcar viendra compléter le mois.
