the winners are…

Ont – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway
Race Part Auction in collaboration with the Club Optimiste de la
region de Cornwall was closed at midnight on May 1st.
People were able to bid on eight racing items and the money collected
will be given to the Club Optimiste.
Seven of the eight items in the auction has
new owners. Martin Lizotte won the Jessica Zemken sprint car nose
wing; he was also the winner of the Danny Johnson right side car
panel that raced on the Moody Mile in Syracuse in 2006. Mario Morissette
will also take home two prizes, he won the left side panel of the
2007 modified track champion Alain Boisvert and one of the two sprint
car wing of ESS champion, Steve Poirier. Scott Boucher now owns the
other Poirier sprint car wing. The lucky winner of Clayton Benedict’s
left side door panel is Reina Vaillancourt. Dennis Back who won the
Dale Planck right side panel completes the winning list. Unfortunately,
nobody bid on the t-shirt of Jessica Zemken.
A
total of $870 was raised by this auction. All this money will go
to the Club Optimiste and they will distribute it to the different
schools in the Cornwall Region. The funds will go to the most meriting
students, which are a great way to encourage them in their hard work
to finalize their year at school and help them getting a great education
for the future.
